APRIL 2017

Hi Nirmala,

Thanks heaps for your email and my apologies for taking so long to reply. I had intended to email you whilst we were away and tell you how wonderful everything was!

Life has been hectic since we returned. I unfortunately got sick when we were on our last night in Chiang Mai and about a week later went to the Hua Hin hospital as not getting any better. Ended up having sinusitis and bronchitis. But got medication and luckily we had the insurance cover.

Asides from getting sick, the holiday was incredible. We LOVED Chiang Mai, felt a bit more like the real Thailand and not so touristy. We would have liked to have stayed somewhere out of town. I think if we went again we would choose somewhere like the Anantara Golden Triangle, which I have stayed in before, or anywhere a little more rural. The VC@Suanpaak Boutique Hotel, Chiang Mai itself was very nice, but literally next door to the airport! However, very nice people and service. Rooms were a little dark but no complaints at all. We visited an elephant sanctuary and did a zip line over the rainforest, both were great.

The Marrakesh in Hua Hin was very nice, but perhaps a bit overrated. I think we wouldn't choose that location again, although very nice.

I have to say, we both commented on your amazing choices for the Bangkok accommodation and couldn't fault either of them at all. Other than, we wanted more time!! Bangkok is an incredible place, so much to see and do. Anantara was truly incredible, didn't want to leave. But equally the Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri, Bangkok at the beginning was perfect on location and again a beautiful place.

Thanks again, Jess
