SEPTEMBER 2013

Dear Nirmala,

Thanks for the email.
I was going to email you with regards to the trip - but you beat me to it.

We were pleased with the whole planning. There was no hiccups at all - apart from when i was completing the arrival form for Thailand - where it asked for the visa number. I was expecting to be turned away on arrival. I didn't even think we would need a visa, nor think to ask you. Luckily we didn't need one.
The transport was there to pick us up, and take us back to the airport - both Hong Kong and Phuket.
The plus, everything had been paid for - so we didn't have to spend anymore than what we paid for the trip.

The 8 degrees hotel in HK was good - albeit far from the nearest metro. However, there was a free shuttle that took you to Hung Hom Station, and Tsim Sha Tsui. We also managed to take a local bus back to the hotel from Shatin.
Our daughter and partner came to Phuket to join us for 4 days - and managed to stay at the same hotel. Her partner's cousins were also in the neighbourhood, and stayed in the same hotel.
The Old Phuket hotel was nice, and the breakfast had a great selection - Chinese and European. The hotel was a short walk from Karon Beach. There is ample public transport (taxi, Tuk Tuk and local bus) transport to Patong and Kata Beach. Free shuttles from the hotel to Old Phuket.

The tour guide called us to welcome us to Phuket, and arranged to meet us the next day,  to confirm the return flight to HK, and pick up time for the transport. She offered some tours/and things to do in Phuket. She was good, and there was no hard sales involved.
All in all - a great trip that I would recommend to others. It was the quiet season, but the Old Phuket was fairly full.

Thanks again.
