MAY 2015
Sawadee Nirmala
We had a great time.. didn't want to come home and really. The weather was amazing and the beach was great this time round. We were put on the third floor at Indigo Pearl which was perfect so thanks for putting that request in for us. The staff were great and very helpful in choosing things to do.. spoke better English than last time.
Nai Yang is getting a little bit more built up but still lovely and remote compared to the ugliness of Patong with all the speedboats, people and noise at the beach.
Had a great city / food tour of Phuket Town (which we didn't make it to last time) with Cheya from Phuket Heritage Trails.
Loved Singapore too.. plenty to do. Very humid but that didn't stop us walking everywhere, although the taxis were really inexpensive. Loved Universal Studios (I have been to LA one but was great to take the girls to this one) and the cable car ride over to Sentosa Island was awesome.
Novotel Clarke Quay was a really central place to stay, close to Orchard Road and of course Clarke Quay. Fabulous breakfast (as does Indigo Pearl) and pool area was nice for a central city hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
Botanical Gardens in Singapore are a must and they are free compared to Gardens by the Bay which you have to pay to go into the domes. If time was a constraint I'd recommend people went to the Botanical Gardens instead and paid the small sum of $5 to go into the orchid gardens there. Beautiful.
We also did a walking tour on the day we arrived which was free with Wei from Indie Singapore. Very in depth and informative. We did the one from Bugis Junction through Kampong Glam area. Can't beat a free tour!!
Don't really want to be back at work.... loved our time away again..
Thanks for your help!
